What students say about their Spanish lessons

Sheila — Canada

I am so grateful to have come across Luddey to work with as my Spanish teacher! Each class I am in her capable hands of jumping right into where we need to go, and helping me become more fluent in everything and anything we discuss. We go over grammar and vocabulary at the end, reviewing the choices I made in our discussion without interrupting the flow of my thoughts or becoming self conscious during speaking in the moment.

She is knowledgeable in the language and how to communicate learning it, as well as in the historical, cultural and psychological aspects.

She is super professional, punctual, personable, friendly, funny, grounded and strongly motivating. Time flies in our lessons and I always feel that I get more than I expected in learning and confidence. I appreciate you Luddey, ¡muchas gracias! :)

Luddey is an excellent Spanish instructor and a joy to work with! Her approach of practicing through informal conversations and then reviewing new vocabulary, grammatical corrections, and examples is very effective. She is a clear communicator, patient, and passionate about teaching. In addition, she creates a comfortable learning space that invites questions to enrich comprehension. I highly recommend Luddey as a teacher!

I am so grateful for Luddey! I started taking lessons from her to help me prepare for the SIELE. She was such a good teacher that I started taking general lessons as well. Not only did she help me immensely on the SIELE (after taking the test, there is no way I could have done it without her!), but also my overall Spanish has improved greatly.

Lessons with Luddey are always fun and dynamic! Today we reviewed the imperative. Although I’ve learned the imperative before, Luddey explained some cultural aspects and I now have a much clearer understanding of when and how to use this conjugation. Highly recommend lessons with Luddey!

Put simply, Luddey is an incredible teacher and a great person. Each lesson is prepared in conjunction with your unique needs as a student. Personally, this has allowed me to excel in learning Spanish and achieve a degree of fluency in the language. In addition to being a talented teacher, Luddey also has superhuman levels of patience and kindness. She is also one of the most personable people I have ever met. These qualities make you feel comfortable in making mistakes and growing.

I was very happy with my trial lesson. Luddey is a very experienced and professional Spanish teacher. I like her efficient teaching methodology and language immersion approach which also allows for flexibility to bring in my own interests. She is a formidable English speaker that comes in handy especially when I lack the vocabulary. I highly recommend her as a teacher.
